Billy joined our training staff at Precision Hockey Training in the Summer of 2020. Billy’s mission is to help young hockey players develop from a young age at an efficient rate that will promote long-term development. Billy has been a tremendous addition at PHT and we are very excited to have him on our coaching staff.
Billy is extremely talented and well educated in the demonstration/coaching of various drills and training methods revolved around shooting, passing, and stickhandling. Billy shares his love for the game with each young player through encouragement, motivation, and advice. Along with demonstrating an extreme passion for the game, he believes in the importance of a strong work ethic and a drive to ensure constant improvement. Billy approaches each player individually while recognizing their current skill level to assess what work needs to be done to take them to the next level thus improving their overall performance.
Billy grew up locally in Warren and started hockey at the age of four at Fraser Hockeyland. He has played for several local youth travel teams and had the honor of winning a USA Hockey National Championship in 2015 and runner up in 2016 with the St. Clair Shores Saints alongside fellow PHT coach Jared Selengowski. In 2018, Billy joined the Rochester University Warriors (ACHA
D1) and was named to the GLCHL All-Rookie Team as one of the league’s top rookie forwards. In 2019, he was ranked #12 score leader in the ACHA and has been Assistant Captain for the last two seasons. Billy credits his success to many of his exceptional mentors and coaches, along with studying the craft and practicing the skills of some of his favorite NHL players.
