At PHT we strive to build a solid athletic foundation while staying focused on each athlete’s individual goals. Unlike other facilities, young athletes at Precision Hockey Training are coached from the moment they enter the facility to the moment they leave. Each program is based on consistent, continual coaching. Every group is led by a coach through a proper warm-up and then guided throughout the rest of the workout with precise action to ensure a beneficial training session.
Our unique program includes instruction in movement training, injury reduction and rehabilitation, linear and lateral speed techniques, foot speed and agility, explosive power development, proper functional strength training and energy system conditioning.
The workout becomes progressively more challenging once basic techniques have been mastered. Our coaching staff ensures proper progression over the duration of the session. THE SUMMER (OFF-SEASON) FOR A HOCKEY PLAYER IS A TIME TO MAKE SIGNIFICANT INCREASES TO YOUR STRENGTH, SPEED, POWER, AND CONDITIONING. WITH THE BUSY SCHEDULES MOST HOCKEY PLAYERS HAVE THROUGHOUT THE HOCKEY SEASON AND SCHOOL YEAR, IT CAN BE TOUGH MAKE TIME TO GET QUALITY WORKOUTS IN. THE GOAL OF EVERY OFFSEASON TRAINING PROGRAM IS TO INCREASE PERFORMANCE DURING THE SEASON, BUT IT IS ALSO TO PUT YOUR BODY IN A POSITION TO REDUCE THE LIKELIHOOD OF AN INJURY. A FASTER, STRONGER, MORE POWERFUL, MORE MOBILE, AND WELL CONDITIONED ATHLETE HAS A MUCH LESS CHANCE OF GETTING INJURED DURING THE SEASON.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS PERFORMANCE
MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETE GROUPS ARE DESIGNED FOR YOUNG ATHLETES AGES 11 YEARS OLD THROUGH 14 AND ARE CERTAIN TO GIVE YOU AN ADVANTAGE OVER YOUR COMPETITION. OUR TRAINING PHILOSOPHY FOR THIS AGE GROUP IS TO TEACH THE FUNDAMENTALS OF STRENGTH TRAINING IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. EACH SESSION IN THIS PROGRAM IS 60 MINUTES LONG, 2 TIMES PER WEEK AND INCORPORATES ALL ELEMENTS OF OUR FUNCTIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS, MODIFIED FOR THE YOUNGER ATHLETE.
HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PERFORMANCE
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETE GROUPS ARE DESIGNED FOR ATHLETES OF ALL SPORTS AGES 14 THROUGH 18 AND ARE DESIGNED TO ENHANCE THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR YOUNG ATHLETE IN ANY SPORT THEY CHOOSE. IT IS OUR GOAL TO HELP YOUR HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETE TO BECOME STRONGER, MOVE BETTER, BE FASTER, AND BE MORE EXPLOSIVE THAN THE COMPETITION. EACH SESSION IN THIS PROGRAM IS 60 MINUTES LONG, 3 TIMES PER WEEK AND INCORPORATES ALL ELEMENTS OF OUR FUNCTIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF A MATURING ATHLETE.
COLLEGE SPORTS PERFORMANCE
SUMMER COLLEGE ATHLETE GROUPS ARE DESIGNED FOR CURRENT OR RISING COLLEGIATE ATHLETES PREPARING FOR THEIR UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR. THESE GROUPS ARE OUR MOST ADVANCED PROGRAMS WITH THE HIGHER LEVEL ATHLETE IN MIND AND UTILIZES ELITE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING TECHNIQUES. WE WANT TO ENSURE THAT EVERY ATHLETE IS PREPARED FOR THEIR NEXT COMPETITIVE SEASON. THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PUSH THE COLLEGE ATHLETE AND GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXCEL AT THEIR COLLEGIATE SPORT. EACH SESSION IS 90 MINUTES LONG, 3 TIMES PER WEEK AND INCORPORATE ALL ELEMENTS OF OUR FUNCTIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS.
